Report of the Tajik Delegation's Study Tour to Prague, Czech Republic_English
This report covers the first of three planned study tours designed to introduce different levels of Tajik water administration - Ministerial, Departmental and local Governmental - to the Czech Republic's approach to tackling issues of water management. The Czech Republic had been identified as an extremely relevant model to the Tajik context and need. Having undergone a similar transition from centrally planned to a market driven economy, the Czech Republic has overcome concerns and challenges similar to those faced by Tajikistan, and is believed to have achieved great improvements to date in rural water supply and sanitation. The report and Annexes cover not only the study tour itself, but also the follow-up report made to the larger Tajik government. The study tour was conducted from November - December 2010.
